Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA): A Comprehensive Overview

Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA) is a distinguished public institution situated in Morogoro, Tanzania, dedicated to advancing agricultural education, research, and extension services. Established in 1984, SUA offers a diverse array of programs across multiple disciplines, emphasizing practical skills, entrepreneurship, and environmental sustainability.

History

The origins of SUA trace back to 1965 when it began as an agricultural college offering diploma training. Following the dissolution of the University of East Africa in 1970, the institution became part of the University of Dar es Salaam, offering Bachelor of Science in Agriculture. In 1984, through Parliamentary Act No. 6, it was transformed into a full-fledged university and named in honor of the late Prime Minister Edward Moringe Sokoine.

Admission / Online Application Process
